Dang, I am so tired. I want my man back in town! The funeral was very nice and I had a good time with my in-laws. I’m really glad that they still consider me family. It was still an emotionally intense weekend with not very much sleep, hot weather, and all sorts of emotions running high. I was exhausted when I got home last night and all I wanted to rest my head on NG’s chest and go to sleep with his arms around me. Come to think of it, that sounds pretty great right now too.
That wasn’t an option but I got the next best thing, which was a phone call. After ten minutes on the phone with him, I felt so much better. He made me laugh and he asked questions, and said the dirty limericks I’ve been sending him made him smile. He said he’s “pretty excited” to see me and that being together will be a different kind of paradise than where he’s been the last ten days. Only 1 full day followed by a work day and I’ll get to touch him again. We have out of town plans for the weekend and I can’t wait. My poor Hitachi is getting tired.
